Employee: Ported an Oracle 9i/10g/11 data warehouse to the Netezza platform (Netezza is a data appliance similar to Teradata). Re-wrote Pro*C and DB2-
to-Oracle Sync jobs using Informatica 7.1.; developed Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) routines using Informatica PowerCenter and Oracle/Netezza as
the backend databases. Re-writing PL/SQL routines using Netezza nzsql and nzload utilities. Provide 24 x 7 Support to an existing, 1.2 terabyte, Oracle 9i
star-schema data warehouse. Duties include (but not limited to), troubleshooting PL/SQL and UNIX shell scripts. Tuning SQL statements;
creating/enhancing new /existing programs. Reverse Engineering Schema’s using ERWIN. Partitioning/Indexing/compressing ¼ terabyte tables.
Managing resources (e.g. DASD, CPU, etc). Managing Infrastructure upgrades/changes (e.g. HP RP8400 Frame Migrations). Managing database upgrades

Contractor: Worked on the Federal Election Commission (FEC) Data Warehouse Design Implementation Project. Developed and coded Oracle (11g)
PL/SQL routines for processing FEC form data. The FEC Data Warehouse (FDW) system that was developed consists of three distinct repositories
(schemas) as well as three stages for data Extraction, Transformation and Loading (ETL). The two initial data repositories maintain source data – the first
(Ingest) (ETL-1) contains unmodified data and will form a historical record. One of the goals of this design is complete traceability; meaning that any piece
of information that is found in the data warehouse should be traceable back to its source. The second data repository (ETL-2) (Processed) will be the
“work area” in which incoming records may be properly processed before being parsed out into the data mart layer (CFDM schema – the third repository)
(ETL-3). My task involved coding ETL-2.
